Arsenal legend Ian Wright has raved about Chelsea forward Joao Felix on PremierLeague.com while watching him in action against West Ham United in the London derby today.
Wright noticed that Felix, who turned down a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the January transfer window, was doing everything in attack.
The former Arsenal striker believes that the Portugal international forward, who joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, is “a top quality player”.
Felix scored for Chelsea against West Ham at London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old, who played for Portugal at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, found the back of the net in the 16th minute.
Argentina international midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup, provided the assist.

Interestingly, Felix turned down a move to Wright’s former club Arsenal last month.
The Athletic reported on January 9, 2023 that Arsenal and Manchester United wanted to sign Felix on loan from La Liga club Atletico in the January transfer window.
However, according to the report, the youngster opted for Chelsea, ‘having been attracted by their project’.
Ian Wright on Arsenal January target and Chelsea forward Joao Felix
Ian Wright said: “The front four look very exciting, Joao Felix, we saw what he done against Fulham and we know he’s a top quality player.
“He’s getting into positions, getting past people, passing past people, he’s doing everything. He’s very unfortunate not to have two goals.”
