Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted a tweet about Ezri Konsa yesterday evening.
The tweet in question revealed that the Villa No.4 has blocked the most shots in the Premier League this season with 34.
Simply put, the £12 million man has been one of Villa’s best players this term, and evidently, one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Only Manchester City and Chelsea have kept more clean sheets than Villa’s 14 shutouts, and Konsa is clearly a massive reason behind that impressive statistic.
A couple of fans below hoped that Gareth Southgate saw the club’s tweet.

In our view, it’s a travesty that Konsa wasn’t at least included in the most recent England squad, given his efforts this season.
The 23-year-old has arguably been better than Tyrone Mings, who features for the Three Lions quite often.
His brilliance has also led to admiring glances from Liverpool and Tottenham, who are both keen to sign Konsa according to The Athletic.

Blocks are a key part of a defender’s game, and amassing a large amount of them shows just how good Konsa is at reading the play.
It also shows that he’s brave, and willing to throw his body on the line for the sake for the Villans.
Let’s see what the Villa fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s tweet…
