Ian Wright has told Wrighty’s House that it makes absolutely no sense why reported Leeds United target Sergio Aguero is leaving Manchester City.
Aguero proved his class once again last weekend, when he produced a brilliant finish to help City to beat Crystal Palace.
EuroSport have now suggested that Leeds have a real interest in taking the Argentine, and that a move to Elland Road may well appeal to the high profile striker.
But Wright feels that Chelsea are the team who Aguero should have his eyes on joining, rather than Leeds.
“I think that decision has come from Pep Guardiola. Guardiola doesn’t want him there any more,” he said.
“Especially when I saw his interview and he was like ‘what a goal, what a player, what an action, what a man’.
“None of that makes sense to me when we now know that he’s leaving. It doesn’t make sense.
“It doesn’t make sense that he’s leaving. It doesn’t make sense that he’s saying that and he’s not in his team.
“He should go to Chelsea! When you look at Cavani with the pace around him. Could you imagine Aguero up-top for Chelsea with Mount and Havertz, Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic around him? That’s 25 goals!”

For Leeds to sign Aguero would be nothing short of remarkable, and the deal seems a long way off at the moment.
The Whites would have to find some way of funding his wages, which would surely be considerably beyond any player in their current squad.
Bielsa would also have to find a place to Aguero in his team, which may not be easy – given the fitness levels required to start.
But while the rumours persist, Leeds fans could be forgiven for getting slightly excited about potentially seeing one of the Premier League’s all time great strikers in their line-up from next season.
