Speaking on Premier League Productions’ Weekend Preview, Tim Sherwood has been full of praise for Heung-Min Son.
Son may not have been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, but make no mistake about it, he’s been one of the best players in the country this season.
He’s second in the race for the Golden Boot, and his goals have played a huge part in Spurs’ late charge for the top four.
Sherwood has been utterly blown away by Son, stating that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves from the wider footballing world.

Sherwood had so much praise to give Son.
“Son has been a good player for a long time, he’s top-drawer and I agree, he doesn’t get the recognition. I think it’s because he’s such a nice boy and Daniel Levy seems to have gotten him on a long contract. He’s untouchable, he’s happy with the environment and he’s getting better and better and he’s so fit,” Sherwood said.
Doesn’t get the credit
Sherwood is absolutely right about Son, somehow, the midfielder remains underrated despite his years of brilliant service for Spurs.
The fact that he hasn’t even been nominated for the Player of the Year award is borderline farcical, and while Spurs fans won’t like to hear it, he should be playing for a better club.
The South Korean deserves to be playing for a top side, playing in the Champions League every year and winning trophies.
Perhaps a Golden Boot win will allow Son to finally get the credit he deserves from the wider footballing world.
