Should Leeds United take a serious look at soon-to-be free agent Tim Krul?

Leeds brought Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan to the club last summer but both have proven to be disappointing signings and ones that have been more of a hindrance than a help.
Signing a new goalkeeper should be the top priority this summer and there could be a brilliant one available in the form of Tim Krul.
The Netherlands international is likely to be available on a Bosman as his contract with Brighton & Hove Albion slowly comes to an end. The former Newcastle United man, yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, has endured a tough couple of years, but at 30, he still has plenty to offer a Championship club and the Elland Road outfit shouldn’t think twice.
According to Spotrac, Krul is on around £35,000 per week with the Seagulls, which could be an obstacle, but he might be willing to take a paycut if it meant playing regularly.
He might not have the career he once did, but the talent is still there and it’s very unlikely that Leeds will come across a better bargain for a goalkeeper.
