Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Mathew Ryan sent a message to Bukayo Saka on Instagram.
The 29-year-old interestingly wished the 19-year-old good luck at EURO 2020, despite the fact that Gareth Southgate is yet to name his squad.
In our view, if Saka isn’t in England’s squad, there should be uproar.
The teenager has scored seven goals while also providing ten assists this season, carrying the Gunners on his back at times.
Additionally, his versatility should attract Southgate. Arsenal’s No.7 can play at left-back, and on either wing in attack.
Intriguingly, Ryan’s message also suggests that he’s coming back to the Emirates Stadium next season.
The 58-cap Australia international joined Arsenal on loan from Brighton in January, but will now return to the Amex Stadium.
However, Ryan interestingly wrote ‘see you soon’ to Saka, and said that he can’t wait to be stopping his shots again.
To us, that sounds like he’s certain of coming back.
When replying to the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Cedric, Calum Chambers and Kieran Tierney on Instagram, Ryan also says he’ll see them soon.
Now, it hasn’t actually been revealed that Ryan will be coming back to Arsenal, so this is very interesting stuff.
We can only wait and see what happens with the glovesman’s future.
In our view, he deserves to stay.
The Aussie has proven himself to be a competent backup goalkeeper, who presumably wouldn’t cost loads to lure away from Brighton.
