The defender is back at West Ham United following his latest loan spell.

Reece Burke has gained plenty of experience away from West Ham United in recent seasons but the young defender will doubtless have been delighted to feature for his parent club in the FA Cup last weekend.
Burke, back from his latest loan spell at Bolton Wanderers, was deployed as a right wing-back in the goalless draw against Shrewsbury Town and West Ham now have a decision to make regarding what the next step will be in the youngster’s development.

In the first half of the season Burke featured prominently for Bolton in the Championship as he built upon the experience that he gained during stints with Bradford City and Wigan Athletic.
The 21-year-old has a strong connection with West Ham having progressed through the ranks at the club, and will be determined to eventually add to the five Premier League appearances that he made during the 2014/15 season.

Making the breakthrough at West Ham won’t be easy, however, and there will soon come a point, perhaps even during this transfer window, when the club will have to make a concrete decision on Burke’s future.
Given the form that he showed at Bolton, where he impressed despite playing for a struggling side, perhaps Burke deserves to be given a chance in the West Ham first-team, and it will be intriguing to see what this month has in store for the prospect.
