Leeds United are reportedly prepared to sell Pawel Cibicki.
Pawel Cibicki might not be back at Leeds United for very long.
The Swede has returned to his parent club following a half-season with Molde but, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are planning to offload him in January.
Cibicki, a £1.5 million signing in 2017, is one of several flops from the Thomas Christiansen era at Elland Road.
But the same could have been said about Mateusz Klich back in June and now he is a massive player for Leeds.
The Poland international, who has five goals and five assists this season, has started all 20 of the Whites’ Championship games and United must not let Cibicki leave before he is at least given a shot by Bielsa.
What a shame it would be if Bielsa let him go without ever really giving him a chance, for he was better for Leeds last season than Klich was.
That isn’t to say that Cibicki would be as influential this season if the Argentine coach tested him out, but how can he know for sure without trying him?
It’s worth remembering that fans of the West Yorkshire club were praising him at times last term – especially in the win over Norwich City.
He could be just one of the many nothing players that Victor Orta brought in during the summer of 2017 or, like Klich, he could be a hidden gem who just needs the right coach to make him shine.
