Everton striker Oumar Niasse appeared to have no future at Goodison Park while Ronald Koeman was in charge.

Oumar Niasse’s revival of his career at Everton, may just offer Ross Barkley some hope that he could yet turn things around at Goodison Park.
Niasse appeared to be written off by Ronald Koeman last term, but the Senegalese forward may just have saved the Dutchman’s job.
Niasse has finally been handed a chance at Everton, and he scored twice as the Toffees beat Bournemouth last weekend.

Niasse may now have finally done enough to cement a place in Koeman’s starting line-up, and Barkley will have watched the 27-year-old’s progress with keen interest.
Barkley is another player who Koeman appeared to have ostracised over the summer, when he suggested that the England international would never play for Everton again.
However, Barkley unexpectedly wasn’t sold and the attacking midfielder now finds himself in limbo.

Barkley is currently out injured, and it is not clear just how often Koeman plans to use the play maker when he returns.
Of course, for Barkley to turn his Everton career around, it will take some willingness from the player himself – as his contract expires at the end of the season.
But Niasse’s revival may just give Barkley some reason to believe there is still hope for him at Everton yet.
