The Denmark international has fresh competition at The City Ground for one of the forward positions.
Nottingham Forest fans were delighted with their deadline day business as the club brought in prolific Championship striker Ross McCormack on loan and young star Zach Clough permanently, however, one feels Nicklas Bendtner maybe wasn’t so pleased.
The former Arsenal man hasn’t had an easy ride at The City Ground, and with the emergence of 17-year-old wonderkid Ben Brereton, there are now six players vying for two attacking positions on Trentside.

The influx of forwards at the club led to speculation that Bendtner was being nudged towards the exit door, however, caretaker manager Gary Brazil has since refuted those claims.
An own goal against rivals Derby County and Bendtner’s general demeanour has turned him into a scapegoat, but there’s hope for him yet – if he’s played correctly.

The 29-year-old has only scored twice this season, though this is mainly down to the club’s former system, which saw Bendtner venture out wide just to get a touch.
Chances were at a premium with no direct link between midfield and attack, but now McCormack’s signed, that could all change. If Bendtner can get himself back in the side with McCormack’s supply, there’s no reason why he can’t become a success.
