Hull City travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League this Sunday.

A few short weeks ago, it would have been impossible to imagine Hull City going into a clash with Chelsea with some momentum, but Marco Silva’s arrival at the KCOM Stadium appears to have given them some hope. But will that hope be enough to boost their chances of getting a positive result away at the Premier League leaders?

While HITC Sport’s Michael Ramsey and James Rutherford have suggested that Silva’s appointment may have given them a chance of beating the drop, they believe that they have got too great an obstacle in front of them this weekend.

“I was surprised they won against Bournemouth. Marco Silva might actually know what he’s doing,” HITC Sport’s James said.

“He’s definitely not going to keep them up, their best player still wants out. Yeah, they might scrape a few more wins, they might look a bit better than they did under [Mike] Phelan but they’re still going down and they’re going to lose against Chelsea,” Michael responded.

A recent report in the Daily Mail suggested that the Tigers are resigned to losing Robert Snodgrass, who has, as Michael suggests, been Hull’s best player this term.

And if his departure is to come during this current window, Silva will undoubtedly be hoping that the playmaker can sign off by making an impact against Antonio Conte’s men as, based on this season’s evidence, he is one of the few players within Hull’s squad who can make something special happen.

Despite Snodgrass’ quality, neither James or Michael is optimistic about Hull’s chances of getting a positive result against Chelsea.
