Reports are circulating that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.
Chelsea are likely to be active in the market this summer and it is being suggested that one target is Juventus’ Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner.
The 30-year-old has been nicknamed ‘Forrest Gump’ by some due to his tendency to make daring runs down the wing to join in attacks.
Lichtsteiner made 27 appearances for Juventus in their Scudetto winning campaign, starting 24 times and playing a total of 2,120 minutes.
He scored twice from 18 shots and won an impressive 88 percent of tackles he went in for with a 78 percent pass accuracy rate.
It is suggested that Chelsea would probably only need to pay £6.5m for Lichtsteiner and could offer the player a three-year contract worth around £2.4m per season.
Juventus have been trying to agree a contract extension with Lichtsteiner, which may force Chelsea into acting quickly if they want to snap him up.
Lichtsteiner has been at Juventus since 2011 when the Old Lady signed him from Lazio for a fee of around £8.5m paid in three instalments.
