Michal Zyro left Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan last month, but is he going back indefinitely?
The writing was probably already on the wall for Michal Zyro when Wolverhampton Wanderers loaned him to Charlton Athletic last month.
But his long-term future at Molineux has never looked bleaker, by virtue of how he has struggled for regular football with the League One outfit.
Zyro, a £350,000 signing (Sky Sports) by former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett two years ago, has only earned 26 minutes of football under Karl Robinson since joining the Addicks last month.
And with Wanderers seemingly heading for the Premier League, it’s extraordinarily unlikely that Zyro has a future in the West Midlands if he is struggling to make an impact in the third tier of English football.
The 25-year-old hadn’t kicked a ball in the Championship under Nuno Espirito Santo this season, having returned to fitness following a 15-month absence with a knee ligament injury last summer.
And although his injury has undoubtedly hindered his spell at Molineux, it seems unlikely that Wanderers fans will ever get to see what their former manager saw.
