Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic signed Marvin Compper in January 2018.

Compper, who joined Celtic from RB Leipzig in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1 million, has played just 83 minutes of competitive football for the Glasgow giants, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
The 33-year-old German defender has also revealed, as quoted in The Scottish Sun, that Celtic suggested to him in August about finding a new club.
Compper’s revelation suggests that his time at Celtic may be coming to a premature end, and perhaps the two parties could part company as early as January 2019.
After all, despite the injury issues at the back, Celtic manager Rodgers has not used the former Fiorentina defender.

Moreover, the Hoops suggesting to the 33-year-old in the summer of 2018 to find a new club means that Rodgers does not think that his team will suffer without Compper in it.
Perhaps it would be best for Compper if he finds a new club in January 2019, even on loan for the second half of the season.
