Leeds United have been linked with both Barry Douglas and Joe Bryan in recent times.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Leeds United have launched a bid for Barry Douglas, and it seems clear that Marcelo Bielsa already has doubts over his side’s options at left-back.

Leeds have recently been linked with both Joe Bryan (Daily Mirror) and Douglas, as Bielsa has made signing a new left-back one of his urgent priorities.

Stuart Dallas has been used at left wing back for much of pre-season so far, but Bielsa seemingly has doubts over whether the Northern Ireland international could play that role when the competitive season starts up.

Douglas looks a major upgrade on any player Leeds currently have in the left-back slot.

Douglas was arguably the Championship’s best left-sided defender last term, with his performances impressing for Wolves.

And with Bielsa clearly happy to invest a sizeable amount of money into buying a left-back, after links with Bryan and Douglas, it surely shows that he must have concerns over their current options in the position.
