Manchester United have turned their attention back to Tottenham left-back Danny Rose.
Manchester United are growing increasingly frustrated in their pursuit of both Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan and are looking at alternatives, reports the Independent.
Inter are holding out for £48m for Perisic, while Madrid do not want to let Bale leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu until they have been given more indication on whether they can sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.

In response, according to the Mirror, the Red Devils have turned their attention back to Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, having been linked with the England international earlier in the summer.
It is a change of direction that could possibly hint that United manager Jose Mourinho is considering the 3-4-3 formation that worked so well for teams throughout the Premier League in 2016/17.
Both champions Chelsea and runners-up Spurs used the system extensively, while Arsenal saved what had become a disappointing season by switching to 3-4-3 and beating the Blues at their own game in the FA Cup final.
Mourinho certainly has the personnel, with new signing Victor Lindelof one of six available central defenders, while Antonio Valencia’s successful conversion from winger to right-back suggests he could also excel as a wing-back.
The Portuguese boss is famed for favouring a more conservative approach and playing three centre-backs would certainly adhere to that, while Rose could easily slot in at left wing-back having done so brilliantly in the role for Tottenham last term before injury cut his campaign short.
And while the North Londoners are not likely to want to sell the 27-year-old, the £50m (BBC) transfer of Kyle Walker to Manchester City this summer suggest every player at the club has their price.
