Newcastle United having winger Kenedy means that they are unable to bring in any more domestic loans.

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United are set to keep Kenedy at the club, and that may just indicate that Rafael Benitez still has some faith that new permanent signings could arrive this month.

With Kenedy at Newcastle, Benitez is unable to bring in any other players on domestic based loans.

The Brazilian has struggled for game time of late at St. James’ Park, and there was talk that he could be sent back to Chelsea.

However, Newcastle are now believed to be planning to keep Kenedy around, and that may indicate they have other avenues still to pursue.

If Newcastle were really badly struggling for additions, then Benitez surely would have been more inclined to gamble with Kenedy.

The Magpies could have traded him for another potential loan signing, who would’ve been able to make an impact over the second half of the season.

But by keeping Kenedy around, even though he is struggling, Newcastle may just have offered a suggestion that permanent additions are still seen as a possibility in the coming weeks.
