Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side look short of options in central defence this season.

Easah Suliman’s departure from Aston Villa is surely a signal that Steve Bruce is confident that a centre-back will arrive.
Bruce’s side are working hard in the loan market to try and bring in more quality before the transfer window closes.
It is thought that Villa are on the look out for a new central defender, as their options in the position could be short currently.
And even though Suliman is only on the fringes of the first-team, Villa will surely have plans to bring in a new defender to replace him.

With John Terry leaving at the end of last season, the claret and blues’ options in centre back are much weakened from the previous campaign.
Tommy Elphick has returned to the Villa fold and been included in their starting line-up, but Bruce is likely to want more quality before the deadline passes.
Villa have won gone unbeaten through their first three matches of the season, although they were slightly disappointing in their most recent outing against Ipswich Town.
