Frederik Ronnow wasn’t keen on signing for Nottingam Forest in the summer but it is understood that Mark Warburton’s side are still keen.

Brondby supporters probably had to pinch themselves when August became September and Frederik Ronnow was still contracted to the club.
The Danish international goalkeeper appeared set to make the next step in his career this summer after admitting that playing his club football in his homeland was not exactly aiding his hopes of challenging Kasper Schmeichel for the nation’s number one jersey.
But despite three bids from Nottingham Forest late in the transfer window, according to the Nottingham Post, Ronnow decided to stay with Brondby a little longer. It is understood that he was less than enamoured by the prospect of playing in the second tier of English football.

Though with Forest boss Mark Warburton still on the search for a new goalkeeper in January, the Nottingham Post claimed that the Championship giants were expected to renew their interest in the New Year.
But with Ronnow already uncertain about a move to the City Ground, it appears that Crystal Palace is a far more likely destination for the five-time international.

Sky Sports claimed on deadline day that Palace attempted to sign arguably the best goalkeeper in Scandinavian football on a loan deal. And with manager Roy Hodgson telling the Croydon Advertiser this month that a new number one is a priority in January, it remains to be seen whether Ronnow will once again come into their consideration.
And if Palace express their interest again, Forest can probably bid farewell to their hopes of luring him to the East Midlands.
