Chelsea are said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which could help West Ham in their pursuit of Michy Batshuayi.

Chelsea have emerged as the new favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Daily Mail reports Tianjin Quanjin have pulled out of the race.

AC Milan are also believed to be interested in Aubameyang, but the 28-year-old favours a move to Stamford Bridge as manager Antonio Conte desperately seeks a new forward to lead his line.

This comes after Romelu Lukaku chose to join Manchester United ahead of the Blues, while Diego Costa has been told he can leave the club as he is not in Conte’s plans.

The pursuit of Aubameyang could signal good news for West Ham United as well, with the Sun one of the latest publications to link the Hammers with a move for the 23-year-old.

Batshuayi has been linked with a move away from West London throughout the summer, after just starting seven games (and scoring nine goals) in all competitions in 2016/17 following a £33m switch from Olympique Marseille.

West Ham actually agreed a £30m deal with Marseille to sign the Belgium international last summer, as reported by football.london, before Chelsea swooped in with an approved offer and sealed the deal.

Yet 12 months on the East London side could finally land their man and if the Aubameyang rumours are true, then it should only help them in their pursuit of Batshuayi.
