Sam Allardyce wants the vacant USA manager’s job, so is a move to Everton now unlikely to happen?
Sam Allardyce looks on prior to the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Hull City.
Sam Allardyce appears to have distanced himself from the vacant Everton manager’s position by declaring his interest in another job.
The 63 year old revealed that he would consider taking charge of the USA national team, who are seeking a permanent successor to Bruce Arena.

“Yes, I would go I think, but I think there’s a president elect in January [sic] which has stalled the process, so if I got the opportunity to speak to the U.S. then I would look forward to that,” Allardyce told Alan Brazil on talkSPORT.
“International football is totally different from Premier League football. It’s 10 games a year and there’s a huge amount of downtime for yourself to go and watch the players and all that, but it’s not the same day-to-day pressures you get in the Premier League.
“Wherever they say you’ve got to base yourself is where you base yourself. I’ve always loved the States since I’ve been going for many, many years, and I played there. I played there for Tampa Bay Rowdies and had a terrific time by the way.”

Allardyce left his role as England boss after just one game after being secretly filmed by the Telegraph telling a businessman how to get around FA rules.
After the Three Lions he took a job at Crystal Palace, successfully keeping them in the Premier League before deciding in May to take time away from football.
However, since the sacking of Ronald Koeman, Allardyce has been strongly linked with the Toffees and is currently the 5/2 second favourite with Skybet to succeed the Dutchman.
Yet if international football is what the former Eagles chief wants then it would suggest he won’t be taking over at Goodison Park anytime soon.
