Thierry Henry has told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports that he felt Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson looked shaky last night.

Liverpool kept a clean sheet, as they beat Wolves 1-0, but it was far from plain sailing for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were put under pressure by Wolves, and Alisson didn’t always react too assuredly.

The Brazilian was lucky not to concede a penalty in the early stages, and he often chose to punch rather than catch from crosses.

Although Alisson also pulled off some decent saves, Henry felt he looked nervous.

And he was shocked to see Liverpool’s inexperienced centre-back pairing of Ozan Kabak and Nathaniel Phillips actually look more composed than Alisson.

He said: “They needed that, even though there were some dodgy moments. I would say more from the goalkeeper. You would expect him to be more solid than the two centre-backs!”

Henry later went on to expand on his point and say that he felt Alisson lacked composure throughout, while even Jamie Carragher admitted that he did appear nervous.

Alisson actually hasn’t looked as commanding this season for Liverpool as he has previously.

The 28-year-old remains one of the finest goalkeepers in the league, but his standards have slipped slightly, with Liverpool struggling for form.

The Reds’ win last night was vital, as it keeps Klopp’s side within touching distance of the top four.
