Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has commented on life at Ibrox,

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has revealed to The Scottish Sun that he was speaking to Ross McCrorie about the club months before his move even materialised.
The Gers were busy during the January transfer window, and whilst Russell Martin, Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy and Jason Cummings all arrived on loan, they stumped up cash to sign Docherty.
Docherty, 21, came up through the ranks with Hamilton Academical having joined the club way back in 2005, and he went on to rack up more than 100 appearances for the Accies.

His impressive displays under Martin Canning this season earned him huge interest in the January transfer window, and Rangers won the race for his signature, handing him a four-and-a-half-year contract.
Docherty has quickly established himself as a key member of Graeme Murty’s side, locking down a spot in the centre of midfield, and he has already lived out one dream by playing for Rangers in an Old Firm derby against Celtic.
Docherty grew up supporting Rangers, and whilst that will have been enough for him to head to Ibrox in January, it seems that he was asking questions about the Gers well before Murty’s men made a move.
In an interview with The Scottish Sun, Docherty has revealed that he spoke to Rangers youngster Ross McCrorie during their time away with the Scotland Under-21’s, asking questions about the setup at Ibrox.

Docherty noted that he knows the high standards at Rangers, and feels that he has everything around him to be the best he can be at Ibrox with the facilities the Gers have.
“I know there are high standards at Rangers, and you need to be performing to your best,” said Docherty. “That’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I knew once I was in the door I’d be able to thrive on it and learn. To have a base and training ground with the facilities there means I can learn every day. I can even go in on my days off. It’s so close to where I live too. Everyone is willing to help because if it benefits me it will benefit Rangers.”
“I knew a little of what it would be like from speaking to a few boys away with the Under-21s before. I talked to Ross McCrorie about Rangers the last time we were away out of interest. He always spoke highly of it. That was before I had the potential to go there. I was asking to learn about other clubs, how they worked, and how other people do things. It wasn’t too different to what I was doing at Accies, but small things can make a big difference,” he added.
