Swansea City are reportedly in talks to bring former West Brom and Norwich City midfielder Mulumbu back to the Championship.

Swansea City’s youngsters did themselves proud in Tuesday’s narrow EFL Cup defeat to Crystal Palace.
Daniel James and Yan Dhanda were lively and creative in attack while Cian Harries showcased both his impressive positional sense and his superb range of passing at the heart of Graham Potter’s defence.
And the Swansea boss will be very happy with his next generation, because a lack of money offered to him in the transfer market has left Potter perhaps over-reliant on the club’s array of talented youngsters.
So Youssouf Mulumbu, should he seal a move to South Wales, could bring vital experience both on and off the pitch. According to The Sun, Swansea have held talks with the midfielder, who is a free-agent after leaving Kilmarnock in the summer, with a deal potentially completed before Friday’s transfer deadline.

A tenacious and likeable player, 31-year-old Mulumbu has proven himself in the second tier too via spells at West Brom and Norwich City.
He can lead by example in the centre of the park and perhaps act as a mentor for the likes of George Byers and Matt Grimes, while giving Potter some much needed steel in midfield.
