World Cup reporter Shebahn Aherne has lambasted Steve Clarke following Scotland’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
Having been in a strong position to qualify for the knockout rounds, Scotland are now expected to exit the World Cup at the group stage.
A win, a draw, or even a narrow defeat to Brazil in their final Group C game would probably have been enough to reach the Round of 32.
Instead, the Tartan Army must hope for several unlikely results to go their way over the coming days.
While many supporters will be disappointed with Clarke’s team for their underwhelming performances, Aherne has taken issue with the Scotland manager’s attitude.
Scottish reporter questions Steve Clarke’s attitude after heavy Brazil defeat
Steve Clarke was understandably disappointed after Scotland’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil, as it likely cost them a place in the last 32.
Speaking to the media would have been the last thing on his mind, but it is a necessary part of being a football manager.

However, Clarke did not give his full attention to his post-match interview and stormed off in a bad mood.
TalkSPORT’s Scotland correspondent, Shebahn Aherne, was furious with Clarke’s embarrassing reaction to the defeat.
She made a brutal comparison to former Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and even told Clarke to “grow up”.
“It’s not good enough. Who do you think you are? Do you think you’re Pep [Guardiola]? Because you’re not,” Aherne ranted.
“We’ve not been at a World Cup since 1998, and it’s incredible that we’re there, and that’s down to Clarke, so I get that he’s done his bit.
“But last week it happened after Morocco to someone I’ve known for a long time… you storm off from someone like that when they’ve got their job to do. And then six days later, you do the same thing again…
“You have to do this, you have to front up to it because a lot of people have spent a lot of money being here and following this team, representing Scotland the best they can.
“You’re our guy, our gaffer, and you come out and can’t even suit up for a moment and front up to it. That really bothers me.”
Aherne continued: “We’ve not been able to speak to Clarke once on this trip, and I thought we would have had the opportunity win, lose, or draw.
“We’re all here to do a job, and I get he’s done his bit in getting us here, but at the end of the day, when the full-time whistle blows, you’ve just got to get on with it.
“So, I’m really disappointed in that, because I love him. He has given us the opportunity to be here, to be at the Euros. But don’t speak to people like that; don’t behave like that. Just grow up.”
Assuming that Scotland are knocked out at the group stage, questions will be asked about Clarke’s future.
The St Mirren and Chelsea legend has another four years remaining on his contract, taking him to the 2030 World Cup.
However, many Scottish supporters will be wondering whether he is the right man to take them to the next level.
