Marko Grujic is one of the most exciting talents in European football – and he could show just why with a spell in the Championship at Aston Villa

Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Steven Gerrard. Three very different midfielders, but one thing that binds them all together is that young Liverpool starlet Marko Grujic has been likened to each of them in his formative playing career, as reported by Sky Sports.
Possessing a fearsome physique for a player so young, not to mention a rangy stride and thunderbolt shot, it’s easy to see where a few of the comparisons have come from.
And while Liverpool fans have had to be patient to see the Serbian wonderkid in action, Aston Villa supporters will be hopeful of finding out just why Grujic is so highly-rated if he moves to the Midlands on loan in January.

According to the Liverpool Echo, The Reds are keen for Grujic to move away from Anfield on loan in January and Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is interested as he aims to add another midfielder to his squad.
And if comments from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are anything to go by, the 21-year-old could make a major impact at Villa Park.
“Marko Grujic has made a big step in his development, but no-one has seen it because he hasn’t played,” Klopp admitted to Anfield HQ of the youngster, who has featured just five times all season.

Liverpool paid Red Star Belgrade £5.1 million to sign him in the winter of 2016, but Grujic is still looking for a chance to show off his potential in English football.
A loan spell at Aston Villa could be the opportunity Grujic has been waiting for – a chance to prove just what a ‘big step’ he has taken.
