Premier League high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers could reportedly sign Pepe, which could see Glasgow Rangers make a signing, too.

Are Rangers in a situation now where the legendary Portuguese centre-back Pepe is now central to their January transfer hopes? Quite possibly.
Earlier in December, the 35-year-old Pepe was released by Turkish giants Besiktas for financial reasons and a potential move to Wolverhampton Wanderers has now raised its head again with the Jorge Mendes connections key.
Record states that the former Real Madrid and Porto defender, who has won three Champions League titles in a storied career, could be about to join compatriots Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and co at Molineux.
And Rangers should be keeping a close eye on the situation. Not because Pepe could follow his former centre-back partner Bruno Alves to Ibrox but because he may now be central to Rangers’ hopes of landing young Dominic Iorfa.

England U21 international Iorfa is rotting in the reserves at Wolves and The Sun believes that he could be on his way to Glasgow for a bargain £500,000. Young, promising and versatile enough to play at centre-half or full-back, Iorfa would be a welcome addition to a defence Steven Gerrard is desperate to strengthen.
And, in a strange twist of fate, Pepe’s marquee arrival next month could be the final nail in Iorfa’s Wolves coffin, paving the way for Rangers to bring a talented young defender to Ibrox.
