Nottingham Forest have already been linked with Queens Park Rangers left-back Jake Bidwell, who has set up three Championship goals this season.

One of the biggest tasks facing Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window revolved around signing a new left-back. And whether they succeeded is up for debate.
Jack Robinson has impressed at times since arriving from Queens Park Rangers, helping to fill a gap in Aitor Karanka’s starting XI, but there is a lack of depth in reserve. Saidy Janko is more at home on the right, Danny Fox is better in the centre, while the days of Ben Osborn filling in in defence should surely be over.
So the fact that Jake Bidwell’s future at Queens Park Rangers is up in the air should not go unnoticed at the City Ground.
According to Football London, Bidwell’s contract is due to expire next summer and he is feeling unsettled with QPR yet to open talks. As a result, the former Everton man will be free to talk to other clubs next month.

The Times reported that Forest were keen to sign Bidwell last year and his potential availability should give the promotion chasers food for thought when the January transfer window opens.
Because the attack-minded 25-year-old, who has set up three goals this season and is renowned for his superb crossing ability, could give Forest some competition for Robinson at left-back.
Suddenly, a problem position would be one of Forest’s strongest areas.
