But the Spanish right-back has been quietly impressive since arriving at Brighton and Hove Albion from Valencia this summer for a bargain fee of £6 million. The 27-year-old has started six Premier League matches so far and certainly looks at home on British shores.

As reported by the Mail, Chris Hughton’s Brighton are keen to bring the former Newcastle United youngster to the South Coast.
