Hibernian face a challenge holding onto John McGinn, with Championship giants Leeds United reportedly targeting the Scottish Premiership ace.

It seems everybody wants a piece of John McGinn.
The Hibernian talisman has been linked with countless clubs all across Britain over the last 12 months and, with the transfer season again in full flow, expect the little Scottish midfielder to be a big player in the gossip columns once more.

The report states that manager Paul Heckingbottom is a big fan of the tenacious, crafty McGinn and Leeds could be willing to offer £2.5 million, despite the fact that Hibs are making it clear that they want double that.
On paper, however, central midfield is not a position Leeds really need to strengthen. They paid £4.5 million for Adam Forshaw in January (Yorkshire Evening Post) while Kalvin Phillips, Ronaldo Vieira and Eunan O’Kane are all fighting for a place in the starting XI. And that’s without mentioning the forgotten Dutchman Mateusz Klich, who will return after a superb loan spell at FC Twente in Holland.

But McGinn, as a number of Leeds fans have pointed out, is a step above any of the midfielders currently in Heckingbottom’s squad:
