Wolverhampton Wanderers brought Traore back to the Premier League from Championship outfit Middlesbrough, paying £18million.

Adama Traore has admitted that he turned down offers from clubs in Spain and Germany before making his club-record move to Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
Traore enjoyed the finest season of his career in 2017/18, adding some much needed end product to his remarkable physical gifts to produce 10 assists for Middlesbrough en route to the Championship play-off semi finals.
The jet-heeled winger was then rewarded with a return to the Premier League, Wolves paying £18 million to trigger his release clause.
Traore has claimed that he could have been plying his trade in the Bundesliga instead, while the former Barcelona youngster was also offered a chance to prove himself again in La Liga.
“I had different options in Spain and Germany but I wanted to stay in England,” said Traore.

“My agent told me I had the option to go away from England but I said, ‘no, I want to stay and improve, I want to prove to everyone in England how good I am’.
“I want to prove I can play in the Premier League. It was an easy decision.”
So far, however, Traore has proved very little at Molineux. He has made just six Premier League starts for Wolves, producing a single goal and assist, and finds himself behind Helder Costa, Diogo Jota and arguably even Ivan Cavaleiro in the pecking order.
Traore was even linked with a return to Middlesbrough on loan by TEAMtalk heading into the January transfer window.
