Wolverhampton Wanderers are already identifying players that will help them in the Premier League next season, according to the Express and Star.

But that does not mean Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be exclusively welcoming Portuguese superstars through the doors of Molineux. Wolves will need players with proven Premier League experience as well.

According to the Sun (11 February, page 63), Wolves have identified Bournemouth midfielder Gosling as one of their top summer targets due to his tireless nature and tenacity in the centre of the park.

Gosling is a committed and consistent performer who would add some steel among the silk. And, blessed with a neat and tidy passing game, he would not look out of touch with Nuno’s expansive style of football either.

It takes all types of player to make a Premier League team. And Gosling’s experience and reliability could be just as important as Ruben Neves’s sensational range of passing or Diogo Jota’s elusive dribbling next season.
