Dan Gosling has been a regular in the Premier League for Bournemouth and is a target for Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

But that does not mean Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be exclusively welcoming Portuguese superstars through the doors of Molineux. Wolves will need players with proven Premier League experience as well.
So, while the signing of Dan Gosling would be a little underwhelming, he is the sort of astute, low-cost addition who could be absolutely essential to Wolves’ hopes of a long stay in the top tier of English football.

And while the former Everton youngster is not the most eye-catching or glamorous midfielders, there is a reason why he has been a regular in Bournemouth’s starting XI ever since they were promoted to the Premier League back in 2015.

Gosling is a committed and consistent performer who would add some steel among the silk. And, blessed with a neat and tidy passing game, he would not look out of touch with Nuno’s expansive style of football either.
It takes all types of player to make a Premier League team. And Gosling’s experience and reliability could be just as important as Ruben Neves’s sensational range of passing or Diogo Jota’s elusive dribbling next season.
