Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want Chelsea winger Victor Moses while Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future is also uncertain.

Midland rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are both keen to raid Chelsea in the January transfer window.

According to Own Goal Nigeria, Wolves are interested in the out-of-favour Chelsea winger Victor Moses, who has struggled for opportunities since Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

The Birmingham Mail, meanwhile, says Aston Villa want to sign the jet-heeled teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi, the star of Chelsea’s pre-season, on loan midway through the season.

But if Wolves get their man, with Moses looking like an ideal fit for Nuno Espirito Santo’s wing-back system, what would this mean for Aston Villa’s hopes of seeing the hugely promising 18-year-old Hudson-Odoi in claret and blue.

Well, with Chelsea looking to fight for silverware on a number of fronts this season, it seems unlikely that Sarri would be willing to discard two of his wide players in January, particularly with plenty of Europa League and cup fixtures giving the former Napoli boss ample room to rotate his side.

And, if Moses does go, Hudson-Odoi could be pushed further up the pecking order with Sarri recently showing more of a willingness to give chances to Chelsea’s young Englishmen, namely Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea might just want to keep hold of Hudson-Odoi rather than let him follow their long-serving Nigerian to the Midlands.
