Matt Phillips is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion after their Premier League relegation but will he make the short trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers?

Despite their gallant efforts over the last few weeks, West Bromwich Albion have now been relegated from the Premier League and the exodus is about to begin.
The likes of Gareth Barry, Jay Rodriguez, Salomon Rondon and Kieran Gibbs are expected to leave The Hawthorns this summer. And Matt Phillips could be another on his way out of the club.
The Express and Star reported recently that Burnley could aim to sign the enigmatic winger, who has natural ability but has struggled to find form this season. The Scotland international, who cost £5.5 million from QPR in 2016, scored just twice and assisted another two in the Premier League this season.

Wolves, who cantered to the Championship title and will be a top flight side next season, are now 3/1 favourites to sign Phillips. Derby are second at 8/1 while Burnley, interestingly, are not even in the running.

At his best, the former Blackpool talisman is an electrifying talent who definitely belongs in the Premier League. Just last season, he scored five and set up eight as West Brom finished in the top half.
And a pacey, direct winger like Phillips certainly seems to be on Wolves’ radar. The Black Country giants have been linked with former Southampton speedster Eljero Elia by the Mail and Sabah claims they have made an offer for Leicester City flop Ahmed Musa.
