Premier League champions Manchester City reportedly want to sign Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

After picking up just one point from their first two Premier League fixtures, Wolverhampton Wanderers need Ruben Neves to be on top form when they host Manchester City at Molineux on Saturday lunchtime.
And the match against the Premier League champions is likely to carry plenty of significance for the Portuguese playmaker, because The Sun claimed at the weekend that Manchester City are already planning a £60 million January swoop for the 21-year-old Neves.
It is no secret that Pep Guardiola wants a deep-lying playmaker to provide support for Fernandinho and Neves, who was scouted by City during the opening day draw with Everton, fits the bill. And despite all the money at Wolves’ disposal, £60 million would be a difficult offer to turn down.
So Saturday’s heavyweight clash could be bittersweet for Wolves.

If Neves turns on the style, the Championship winners will have a chance to pull off one of the most impressive results of this Premier League season. Unfortunately, however, this will only serve in increasing Manchester City’s interest in the former FC Porto skipper.
Fortunately for the Black Country giants, Neves seems very committed to the Old Gold and signed a new five-year contract with Wolves as recently as June.
