Ethan Ebanks-Landell has been in impressive form since joining Sheffield United on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers – so much so, that supporters are clamouring for the defender’s recall.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 1-1 draw with Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers brought their winless October to a close and means that they now sit in 17th position in the division.
The Molineux club’s poor form has seen them secure just two victories from the previous ten matches, with no wins in six league games. Only last-placed Rotherham have a worse record over this period – a feat that ultimately led to the sacking of head coach Walter Zenga.

Whilst Wolves’ search for a new manager continues and the team keeps losing Championship games, there is a Wolves defender who is enjoying an impressive season – unfortunately for the Wanderers, the player in question is out on loan at Sheffield United.
Since signing Ethan Ebanks-Landell on a season-long loan, Sheffield United have experienced an outstanding run of form.
To date, Ebanks-Landell has played in ten League One matches for the Blades and is yet to be on the losing side in any fixture. Consequently, the 6 foot 2 inch centre back has quickly become a popular figure with United supporters – who, it would seem, would welcome a permanent transfer from Wolves.
Ebanks-Landell and his Sheffield United team mates are currently the best performing side in the division, sitting top of the form guide from the past eight matches – with no losses in sight and conceding just seven goals in the process.

However, it hasn’t just been in defence where Ebanks-Landell has made crucial contributions. The 23-year-old has scored three goals in nine starts for Chris WIlder’s team and has put in a number of impressive performances so far this season – something that has been noticed by both Sheffield United and Wolves supporters.
This was particularly evident over the weekend – where Wolves struggled against Blackburn, and Ebanks-Landell was instrumental in Sheffield United’s victory over MK Dons.
