The report adds that Burnley can expect to make a ‘huge profit’ on the £3 million fee they paid Brentford for Tarkowski’s signature. A £47 million profit, perhaps?
The Sun claimed in January that Burnley were demanding a staggering £50 million for the 26-year-old amid apparent interest from glory-chasing Liverpool.
And the Clarets are unlikely to budge from that valuation with interest in Tarkowski rising from all corners of the Premier League.
Wolves’ billionaire owners have plenty of cash to splash but £50 million for a Burnley centre-back? That really would be a statement.
