West Ham United signed Sam Byram in 2016 and are now targeting another Championship right-back in Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks.

West Ham United’s interest in Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks has been known for some time now, with Football London claiming back in February that he was right at the top of David Moyes’ summer hit list.
And it appears Moyes is now stepping up his interest in the 25-year-old as West Ham’s transfer plans start to take shape.

And suggestions that the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster is being eyed up for a summer move to the London Stadium should come as a major concern to Sam Byram. After all, the first time Fredericks was linked two months ago, Football London claimed that the former Leeds talent could be sold to pave the way for his arrival.
Since then, the 24-year-old has made just one Premier League appearance and he did not exactly make the best impression, hauled off on the hour of a 4-1 thrashing by Swansea City.

There is a chance that Byram, who joined for £3.7 million in January 2016, has now played his last game for the club as it is understood that he could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
When he returns, he could find that there is no room in the squad for him if West Ham’s pursuit of Fredericks proves successful.
