The speedy striker has been linked with a summer move to Everton as his contract at Hull City runs down.

It’s quite life affirming to know that not each and every footballer is in the game for the money. According to the Hull Daily Mail, Tigers frontman Abel Hernandez has turned his nose up at typically obscene offers from the Chinese Super League ahead of their Tuesday deadline to instead help Marco Silva’s Hull City side retain their Premier League status.
The Uruguayan international may have only found the back of the net sporadically in a season littered with injury problems, but his pace up front could provide a vital outlet in the final weeks of the season.
What impact this has on Everton’s reported interest, however, remains to be seen. According to The Sun, Hernandez is a summer target for Ronald Koeman – despite his modest tally of seven goals in 40 games in the top flight of English football.
Furthermore, the striker’s agent suggested in the same publication that his decision to turn down the mega-money on offer in the Far East was linked with interest from higher up the Premier League pyramid – seemingly giving Everton hope of landing a summer bid.
And reports in the Hull Daily Mail only back up suggestions that Hernandez is more interested in moving for sporting rather than financial reasons. An ambitious Everton side with genuine hopes of smashing through the top six glass ceiling may appear an intriguing project.
The newspaper add that, despite Hernandez having only a year and a half left on his current contract at the KCom, Hull City would only accept offers in excess of £20 million from China at this stage of the season.

Everton will be praying that Hull are a little easier to negotiate with at the end of the campaign.
