Liverpool midfielder James Milner has had his say on Sunday’s Old Firm clash between Rangers and Celtic, and admitted that he is supporting the Gers.

James Milner has chosen his side ahead of the much anticipated first Old Firm derby of the season this weekend. And the Liverpool midfielder is leaning more towards blue than green.
Speaking to the Herald, Milner has admitted that he will be supporting Steven Gerrard’s Gers at Parkhead on Sunday – if only to wind up his Celtic mad teammate Andrew Robertson.
“I must admit I do lean towards the Rangers side,” said the 32-year-old.

And it seems that Rangers fans are thrilled to call Milner one of their own for the day. And, interestingly, the former England international has left the door open to a future move to Scotland.
“I would never say never. You never know what is going to happen,” he adds.
Milner has enjoyed a quite brilliant start to the season for Liverpool, who have won all three of their Premier League games so far. He has started every game so far and remains a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans despite the big money signings of Fabinho and Naby Keita.
But it must be pointed out that, as it stands, his contract runs until 2019. So with that being the case, a Rangers side who have shown real ambition in the transfer market can dream about Milner rocking up at Ibrox.

After all, they managed to lure Gerrard from Anfield, and Milner would be welcomed with open arms, too.
