Just who on earth is Idris Kadded? That will be the question on the lips of Nottingham Forest fans as the Championship side close in on another left-field signing.

According to the Nottingham Post, Forest have offered the 20-year-old striker a shot-term contract at the City Ground after he played 64 minutes for the U23s in their defeat to Bolton Wanderers on Monday evening.

Now, the Lyon-born Frenchman is far from a household name and Forest supporters will be scouring the web for any clips and videos they can find of Kadded in action.

But perhaps his former Dundee United manager Csaba Laszlo is the best man to explain what Nottingham Forest have to look forward too.

“The boy is a good football player. At 19, from France, moving is a big thing. I like players who have an attitude and he wants to change his life,” Laszlo told Evening Telegraph in the in January 2018 of the promising fresh-faced forward.

“He is working very hard and he has a good left foot. He is strong with the ball and has a good shot. I hope this is one that works out.

“He is one for the future but definitely I might use him in the first team now.”

In the end, Kadded failed to make an impression at Dundee United and left after just six months when his short-term contract came to an end.

One year on, he will be hoping to make a more substantial impact at Nottingham Forest in order to make a future for himself in British football.
