Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic reportedly want to sign Livingston’s former Rangers goalkeeper Liam Kelly in a bargain deal.

Less than 12 months after walking away from Rangers, Liam Kelly could be heading back to Glasgow.
According to the Scottish Sun, the highly-rated Livingston goalkeeper is available for just £50,000 this summer thanks to a clause in his contract. And, in one of the most intriguing transfer rumours of the summer so far, Celtic are interested in signing a player who failed to make a single appearance during nine years at Ibrox.
Given how impressive Kelly has been in his debut Premiership season, Celtic’s interest should hardly come as a surprise – especially after the 23-year-old produced a marvellous virtuoso performance against the champions elect just last month.
Kelly produced a man of the match performance as Livingston grabbed a historic goalless draw at Parkhead, making 11 saves throughout the 90 minutes. And, after the game, Hoops coach Neil Lennon paid tribute to his ‘excellent’ display.

“The goalkeeper excelled. And you get that some days,” Lennon told the Evening Express. “Is it poor finishing from our point of view or excellent goalkeeping? Probably a little bit of both.”
Kelly has kept 14 clean sheets in 33 league games for Livi this season. But, according to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are concerned that the Scotland U21 international does not want to sit on the bench after proving himself at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
