Luca Gasparotto featured sporadically for Glasgow Rangers in their journey back to the Scottish Premiership in 2016.

It seems a long time now since Luca Gasparotto was one of the bright young hopes of Rangers Football Club.

The highly-rated centre-back might have played a minor role as Rangers clawed their way back up the lower leagues, making just four first-team appearances for the Glasgow giants, but he impressed during loan spells with the likes of Aidrie and Greenock Morton.

23-year-old Gasparotto was released by Morton at the end of last season after making nine appearances. Four months later, he is yet to find a team willing to take a chance on him, and he has been rather quiet on social media, too.

There are plenty of teams outside the Scottish top flight who would benefit from signing a giant, powerful defender with the presence to pose a threat in both boxes. So surely this former Rangers youngster will be back in the game soon.
