West Ham United reportedly want to sign Real Sociedad’s La Liga centre-back Diego Llorente.

Winston Reid has been one of the first names on West Ham’s team sheet since he arrived from FC Midtjylland nine years ago.
Solid and dependable, the New Zealand international is also a leader both on and off the pitch and has produced some outstanding performers under a number of different managers at Upton Park and the London Stadium.
But, with Reid likely to miss the entire season after undergoing knee surgery, it is tempting to wonder what the future holds for him under Manuel Pellegrini.
Because, according to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham are one of three Premier League clubs targeting Real Sociedad centre-back Diego Llorente, along with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.

An intelligent, ball-plying centre-back who scored seven goals in all competitions last season, Llorente has been a revelation at Anoeta since joining from Real Madrid in 2017 and has a release clause in his contract of just £22 million (Mundo Deportivo).
With Fabian Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop already plying their trade under Pellegrini, Reid would surely fall further down the pecking order if Llorente arrives.
