Newcastle United, Watford, West Ham and West Brom will have to pay big if they want to bring Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa to the Premier League during the summer transfer window, per the Sun.

The 22-year-old midfielder has emerged as a key player for Ligue 1 giants Marseille this season and it is fair to say the southern side rate their Cameroonian star very highly. The Sun adds that West Brom have already seen a £13 million bid rejected.

And Zambo Anguissa might have added a few more pounds to his already hefty price-tag over the last few weeks. The powerhouse midfielder, who combines a silky touch with a hulking frame, has been named Marseille’s Player of the Month for February after putting in seven impressive performances in domestic and European competition.

He was even chosen ahead of Florian Thauvin, the red-hot winger who scored seven goals last month including a hat-trick in the 6-3 thrashing of Metz at the Stade Velodrome.

Zambo Anguissa has continued to show exactly why Newcastle and West Ham, who could both do with a dominant and dynamic force in central midfield, are following him so closely.

The 11-time international would be an excellent addition for a Newcastle side who look a little lightweight in the centre of the park, their lack of physicality and protection exposed in recent games against Liverpool and Bournemouth where they were cut open with ease.

West Ham, meanwhile, failed to sign a powerful midfielder in January and David Moyes is desperate to rectify that in the summer.

But an excellent month will surely give Marseille reason to demand even more for their rising star.
