Malyk Hamilton has been let go by Premier League side West Ham United having never made his first-team debut for the Hammers.

Countless fresh-faced talents have emerged through West Ham United’s fabled academy in the Premier League era, from Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick to Declan Rice and Reece Oxford.
But Malyk Hamilton will not be following in their esteemed footsteps. Because it is understood that the Canadian winger’s eight year association with the Hammers has come to an end.

So the left-sided talent will not get the chance to make his first-team debut for the club, although it appears he has not had to wait long to be handed a fresh start elsewhere.
Hamilton revealed on Twitter earlier this month that he has returned to his homeland with Toronto FC and hopes to make a mark for his new side in the upcoming Dallas Cup.
The winger, who has represented Canada at U18 level, will also have his eyes on a senior breakthrough with Toronto this season, with the Reds currently bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference after losing their opening two matches in the current campaign.
It remains to be seen, however, whether West Ham should have had a little more patience with Hamilton’s development.
