Former Arsenal and Manchester City play-maker Samir Nasri could make a shock return to the Premier League if West Ham take up Antalyaspor’s offer.

There are not many more divisive players in the modern game than Samir Nasri.
Either one of the most impressive play-makers in Europe on his day or a prime example of potential unfulfilled, Nasri is a player of undoubted ability who boasts a silver-coated CV. But there is the added issue of a lack of consistency and a time-honoured tendency to disappear in the blink of an eye.

There is a reason Nasri, who looked world-class at Arsenal and won the Premier League with Manchester City, is playing for Antalyaspor at the age of 30.
So it should be no surprise that West Ham have fans are split down the middle by suggestions that the club has been offered the chance to bring this most enigmatic Frenchman back to England this month.

David Moyes’ desire for a controlling and creative midfielder is well established and while Nasri comfortably beats Harry Arter, Joe Allen and co in the talent stakes, would West Ham accept another flamboyant yet flawed genius after the whole Dimitri Payet saga?
