Manuel Pellegrini’s Premier League outfit West Ham United have failed in a bid to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon.

West Ham United will have to do better than that if they want to sign Salomon Rondon.
Following the sudden departure of Rafa Benitez, it seems very unlikely that the Venezuelan international will be heading back to Newcastle United after scoring a career-best 11 Premier League goals on loan at St James’ Park last season.
This has opened the door to his wide range of suitors, including West Ham, with West Bromwich Albion ready and willing to cash in on a 29-year-old striker who has just one year left on his contract.
The Star reports that West Ham offered £10 million plus a pair of fringe players, Sam Byram and Jordan Hugill but West Brom have turned town their initial bid. The Hammers should not give up just yet, however, and there is surely one way they can twist The Baggies’ arm.

After all, it is no secret that Slaven Bilic would love to reunite with Reece Oxford at The Hawthorns, four years after handing him a shock Premier League debut at the age of just 16 in a 2-0 win away at Arsenal.
According to The Star, West Brom are keen to complete a £4 million deal for the versatile defender. And if West Ham offer Oxford as part of a deal that would see Rondon finally move to the capital, this could prove to be simply too good for Bilic to turn down.
