Premier League football should appeal to Filip Krovinovic but Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion reportedly want the Benfica ace, too.
Norwich City have competition in the chase for Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinovic. According to Record, West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing him, too.
Few will have heard of the Zagreb-born 23-year-old this time last week but he is suddenly the talk of the town in Anglia and West Bromwich after being linked with a shock move to England over the last few days.
Record claimed on Friday that Norwich were keen, the newly promoted Canaries seemingly turning to Krovinovic when it became clear that £3 million target David Turnbull was on his way to Celtic instead.
A creative attacking midfielder, Krovinovic plays a similar role to Motherwell star Turnbull.
But Norwich will face competition from West Brom. According to Record, new Baggies boss Slaven Bilic is keen to make Krovinovic his first signing since taking over, though the fact that Norwich can offer Premier League football surely gives them an advantage in the chase for the former Croatian U21 star’s signature.
Krovinovic won the Primeira Liga title with Benfica last season, though he contributed just 36 minutes of football to the cause spread across four substitute appearances.
Clearly, a loan move away from the Estadio da Luz would do him some good.
