West Bromwich Albion are reportedly one of four clubs interested in signing Rangers’ Scottish Premiership star Josh Windass this summer.

Josh Windass may have plenty of detractors among the Rangers support but he is obviously doing something right.
According to the Mail (live blog, 1.20pm), West Ham, Burnley, Aston Villa and West Brom are all interested in the 24-year-old midfielder. And it appears that a scramble for his signature could be about to commence, with Windass ready to return to England due to fears about a lack of game time under the new Steven Gerrard-led regime.
And reported interest from West Brom is certainly interesting. Windass, after all, would give the Baggies something entirely different – a goal threat from midfield.
As West Brom were relegated from the Premier League last season, their central midfielders combined to score just five goals between them. Windass, meanwhile, netted 18 for Rangers, finishing as the club’s joint-top scorer alongside Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos.

The former Accrington Stanley man has that all-too-rare knack of arriving late in the penalty area to finish off chances with composure and class; a Frank Lampard-style approach that helped him enjoy the most prolific season of his career at Ibrox.
When you consider that Windass is valued at £3 million, according to the Mail, he should be even more tempting for a West Brom side who need to add goals to their squad if they are to fight for promotion next season.
